Le Camp d’été Renardi

Le Camp d’été Renardi s’adresse aux enfants de cinq ans (complété la maternelle) à dix ans (complété la 5e année). Ce camp est offert dans trois centres, soit l’École Carrefour de L’Acadie, l’École Lou MacNarin et l’École Amirault. Les jours de camp sont les mardis, mercredis et jeudis de 9 h à 16 h. Il y a un nombre maximum de 45 participants par centre. L’inscription, au coût de 35 $ par bloc, est obligatoire et se fait à l’hôtel de ville de Dieppe au 333, avenue Acadie.

Renardi Summer Camp

Renardi Summer Camp is for a camp for children between the ages of 5 and 10 (this includes 5 year old who have completed kindergarten as well as 10 year old who have completed grade 5). This year, activities will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the following schools: Carrefour de L'Acadie, Lou MacNarin and Amirault. In order to respect safety standards, a maximum of 45 participants per centre has been established. The cost of registration is 35$ per session and it takes places at Dieppe City Hall 333 Acadie Avenue.

La chasse pour le pot d’or : Le farfadet a caché son pot d’or quelque part dans la Bibliothèque publique de Dieppe. The Dieppe Public Library will be holding a few activities during March Break (March 8th to 12th):

The Fascinating World of Butterflies:vRhéal Vienneau, a lepidopterist, will be presenting The Fascinating World of Butterflies at the Dieppe Public Library on Saturday, March 12th at 12:30pm. Mr. Vienneau has developed a special interest for butterflies over the last fifteen years. He currently shares his time as a semi-commercial butterfly breeder and enjoys sharing his knowledge during his presentation. Kids ages 5 to 10 will be able to see and interact with various species of butterflies. Registration for this activity is required by calling 877-7945.

The Hunt for the Pot of Gold: The Leprechaun has hidden his pot of gold somewhere in the Dieppe Public Library. You’re invited to hunt for it during March Break (March 8th to 12th) by following several clues. This is the perfect opportunity to learn how to do research in a library which will be very helpful for school work.

Learn to Skateboard Camps

  • Comments: Level 1 skaters will be mainly beginner skateboarders who have little or no experience,and require training and skill building in the basics of the sport. The Level 1 program focuses largely on increasing balance, agility, and learning foundation techniques required to perform more advanced maneuvers.

Level 2 skaters will demonstrate more thorough skills, including the ability to Ollie, grind, and/or ride transitions (ramps). The Level 2 program is technique focused and structured to provide optimum learning experiences to increase physical and psychological performance.

Magnetic Hill Zoo March Break Day Camp

  • What: Parents have the option to sign up your child for all 5 days or by day. The theme is still under construction, but check our website for updates!

Moncton Public Library

  • Tuesday, March 8 at 10:30 am the Children’s entertainment group Zany Lane will be here to get kids ages 3 to 9 singing and dancing. Zany Lane was recently nominated for a 2011 ECMA. Also on March 8 at 2 pm children ages 9 to 13 can learn how to knit a scarf. The $5.00 registration fee for this workshop will include a starter kit to take home.

  • Wednesday March 9 The Butterfly Man will introduce kids ages 6 and up to the wonderful world of butterflies. There will be two presentations by The Butterfly Man, a French presentation at 1:30 pm and an English presentation at 3 pm. On Wednesday night at 7 pm children’s author Diane Carmel Léger will be the special guest at the Club de lecture les marmitons. This presentation will be in French only and is open to children ages 8 and up.

  • Thursday, March 10 at 10:30 am children ages 6 and up are invited to let their imaginations loose at our Craft Extravaganza. At 2 pm we’ll be holding the Lego Club where we’ll have fun creating with Lego. This activity is for children ages 8 and up and participants are invited to bring their own Lego, however a small quantity of Lego will be provided.

  • Friday, March 11 is movie day and popcorn will be served! At 1 pm we will show four short NFB films Léon in Wintertime, Snow Cat, The Sweater and The Boy and the Snow Goose. The same films will be shown in French at 3 pm. Don’t miss these Canadian classics!

Nutrition Jeopardy for Tweens and Teens Weds., Mar 9th @ 2 pm Come to the library with a friend to play a fun, interactive game of nutrition jeopardy to help you learn to make healthy and tasty eating choices. Red Cross Babysitting Course Fri., Mar 11th @ 9 am – 4 pm Your child wants to make a little pocket money through babysitting or maybe you would like to leave them home alone for short periods. You want them to be safe and know how to handle different situations correctly and with confidence. This course will teach them the skills they need. Cost of the course is $35. Ages 11+

Board Games Sat., Mar 12th @ 2 pm Sometimes it is nice to have a change of pace and play a relaxing board game. Children aged 6 and up are invited to participate in this activity. You may bring your own game or play one of ours. Meet old friends, make new friends! Parents are encouraged to join in the fun.
