Statistics show that 4 out of 5 children aren't properly secured in motor vehicles across Canada...
and that also 70% of children's injuries and deaths in motor vehicle collisions are due to incorrectly installed seats. Supporting Early learning in Education and Development Inc. (S.E.E.D) is a regional group of professionals who aim to promote the importance of the early years, support and educate parents of young children in healthy childhood development. S.E.E.D recognizes the need for parents of young children in this region to have access to information and guidance in selecting and installing a child safety seat. This 2.5 day training will be provided free of charge to interested individuals. It will provide you with the expertise needed to educate and support parents through ongoing community clinics focused on proper child car seat placement and installation. Upon successful completion, you will receive a nationally recognized certificate through the St. John Ambulance, valid for 3 years. More importantly, you will return to your community as a valuable resource in your area by having the skills, knowledge, and support needed to offer seat check clinics to help keep our youngest children safe.
