Black-Eyed Peas for Good Deeds

March 31st, 2009

Get a little help from the Easter Bunny...

I'm usually not into bribes so I put the onus on the Easter Bunny! I borrowed this idea from a woman who wrote into a parenting magazine and I just adapted it to suit my children. A few weeks before Easter I put out an egg-shaped dish and every time I catch my children being kind or doing a good deed they get to put one black-eyed pea into the dish. Then Easter morning they run to check out the dish because the Easter Bunny swaps the peas for smarties. It's very popular and doesn't get old.
