Extreme Nature Exhibition

Extreme Nature at the Moncton Museum September 13- January 10, 2011 Water, earth, fire and wind are all elements that cause spectacular and sometimes destructive events. Learn about the phenomenon of natural cataclysm and explore some of the biggest disasters that occurred in Canada. Featured are the causes and effects of various phenomena, such as volcanoes and tornados, as well as their link with environmental changes. This interactive exhibition explores these cataclysms through the use of video images, fascinating objects and touching testimonials. Come experience an extreme phenomenon first hand with the Earthquake simulator! This installation allows you to realistically feel the vibrations of three different levels of earthquakes! The Moncton Museum is open Monday-Saturday 9am-4:30pm and Sunday 1-5pm. Admission is by donation. Call 856-4383 for more information.
