Several activities will take place during the National Fire Prevention Week, from October 3 to 9, under the theme “Be aware of risks, stay away from heat sources.” The Dieppe Fire Department is organizing an open house at the Fire Station on Saturday, October 2, on 500 Gauvin Road, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The activities will begin with a protocol ceremony at 11 a.m., followed by family fun with information kiosks, inflatable games, McDonald House, and visits of the station and the emergency trucks. At noon, there will be a BBQ whose proceeds will go to Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada.
The Dieppe Fire Department wants to remind citizens how important it is for them to get information on fire risks and to install, test, and maintain their smoke detectors, as well as share an evacuation plan with all members of the family.
