The Irishtown Nature Park discovery day is an annual event held in the Irishtown Nature Park located on the Irishtown Road (Tankville) in the North East side of Moncton. This 2200+ acre park is the third largest municipal nature park in Canada. The day’s events are held to promote park assets and recognize this park as a natural gem for the City of Moncton.

Extreme Nature at the Moncton Museum September 13- January 10, 2011 Water, earth, fire and wind are all elements that cause spectacular and sometimes destructive events. Learn about the phenomenon of natural cataclysm and explore some of the biggest disasters that occurred in Canada. Featured are the causes and effects of various phenomena, such as volcanoes and tornados, as well as their link with environmental changes. This interactive exhibition explores these cataclysms through the use of video images, fascinating objects and touching testimonials. Come experience an extreme phenomenon first hand with the Earthquake simulator! This installation allows you to realistically feel the vibrations of three different levels of earthquakes!
